You can now buy the British Gold Sovereign Coin in Ireland through National Gold and Silver. We supply one of the most recognised gold coins directly to customers across Ireland from our bases in Dublin, Cork and Galway.

In its modern form the British Gold Sovereign Coin was first struck in 1817 during the reign of King George III taking its name from a handsome twenty shilling gold coin introduced in 1489 by King Henry VII. The reverse of the coin depicts the classic portrayal, by Benedetto Pistrucci, of St George on horseback slaying the dragon. The obverse displays the image of the reigning monarch at the time of minting the coin.
